Professional School Of Motoring

While there are increasing numbers of hybrid and fully-electric cars on our roads, they're all automatics and are pretty expensive things to buy - so realistically you'll probably still need to drive a petrol or diesel vehicle for a good few years.

Really, whatever you're going to use you'll probably find you can drive it more economically - not just thinking about how many litres of fuel you get through, but also how much wear and tear you're creating as you do it. So by keeping an eye on your vehicle's systems, watching the revs, changing gears correctly and braking systematically your drive should be as smooth and economical as possible.

Mind - just a word of caution in case you practice with a more experienced driver. They were probably taught to do things differently, so it's important to make sure they're up-to-date themselves before they take you out! Get them to check in with us first so you don't deceive conflicting or confusing advice however well-meant it might be.

The information we'll give you makes good, common sense - and it's accredited by the Energy Saving Trust as well.
