Professional School Of Motoring

As a new driver, your first lesson with us will be a basic introduction, or an assessment session if you've had some previous lessons. This costs £20 and lasts for an hour and a half.

In this time, you can expect to cover basic car control including using your pedals, steering and indicating; and you'll usually have time for quite a bit of driving including starting and stopping, left and right turns, and maybe a hill start. But it will vary - it can depend on where you live or work, as well as you yourself. Some of us pick things up better than others.

After the introduction, lessons are currently £25 for each full hour - but you may find there's an offer available when you book with us.

During your course, you will build up the key skills that you will need - not just to pass the UK's current L-test, but to help you to drive safely in most conditions. We will also help you with any parts of the driving theory and hazard perception tests you're unsure about, and with standard vehicle checks and visiting a garage for fuel if you've not already done this yourself.

For your lessons, we will pick you up from your home, college, or work -  let us know, and we can fit in with your schedule. It's not a problem if this changes though; just give us a couple of days' notice as mentioned in our terms and conditions.
